Birmingham Museum And Art Gallery

I went to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and seen this sculpture which was made from wood, paint and teeth.

Man and his Sheep‘, Ana Maria Pacheco, 1943

This got me thinking of how somebody is the tutor group, pretty sure it was Nikki who liked the idea of having things in the center of the room so that people could walk around and view things from different angles. This sort of reminded me of that anyway. Whichever angle you stood at you could exactly see everything, for example the expressions on faces etc.
It’s good that this piece was of the human figure too, as we are doing generations and the circle of life for our theme of our show; the use of teeth also gave a certain edge to the piece. I was looking at the teeth for ages I found them creepy and fascinating, but LOVED it haha!
