Visit to the Hepworth Gallery

The Hepworth Galley

As this was my second visit to the Hepworth Gallery in my own home town  Wakefield I think that this visit  was much more appreciated that the other visits because as they say you never know what you have until you loose it .

The Hepworth Gallery presents a  Permanent collection of the late Barbra Hepworth was presented as a Gift to the Gallery by the Artist Daughters Rachael Kidd and Sarah Browness 4 years ago and is now being viewed and appreciated by the local national and sometimes international audience because Barbra Hepworth was and still is appreciated by the art world.

It was amazing to see how much of her work was appreciated by other artist and the sheer scale of her sculptures is one thing that amazed me the most and all of the way she was able to manipulate plaster and aluminium with her own hands was inspiring in its self.

It was amazing to see the sheer amount of work that was displayed in dedication to Barbra Hepworth .
